Host venues for the 2026 Lloyds Tour of Britain men’s race have been confirmed, with five stages running from 2–6 September across Lincolnshire, East and North Yorkshire and the Scottish Borders. The race opens in Lincoln with a city-centre start and finish, followed by a coastal stage from Boston to Skegness. The route then moves to Hull and the Yorkshire Wolds, finishing that day in Beverley, before stage four runs from Helmsley to Leyburn in North Yorkshire.
The final stage crosses into Scotland for the first time in the event’s history with a new start and finish in Earlston, concluding the race on Sunday 6 September.
Jonathan Day, director of events for British Cycling Ventures, said organisers hope the Tour will be “a memorable event” that inspires more people to cycle and live healthier lives. Lincoln will host the opening stage for the first time and is a fitting choice given its long‑running Lincoln Grand Prix and iconic Michaelgate climb. The Tour last visited East Riding in 2023 and North Yorkshire in 2022, while the Scottish Borders has hosted stages several times in recent years. Organisers will publish detailed stage routes and announce host locations for the women’s race in the coming weeks.
